- Camera access - Used exclusively for capturing photos of gold and jewelry items (not for face detection or biometric data)
- Photo library access - Used exclusively for selecting images of gold and jewelry items for analysis (not for accessing photos containing faces)
- Scan history - Stored locally on your device only; contains analysis results of gold/jewelry items

- To process and analyze gold and jewelry item images
- To provide authenticity assessments, karat analysis, and market valuations
- To maintain scan history for user convenience
- To improve app functionality for precious metal identification
5. Data Usage & Processing
The app uses artificial intelligence (AI), specifically OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs, to analyze uploaded images for gold and jewelry identification. Images are processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers or third-party servers.
Image Processing Details:
- Images are sent to AI services solely for precious metal and jewelry analysis
- Images are temporarily processed and immediately deleted after analysis
- No face detection, facial recognition, or biometric processing occurs during image analysis
- Analysis results are returned to your device and stored locally only
6. Data Sharing
We do not collect, store, or share personal data. Images of gold and jewelry items are sent to AI service providers (OpenAI/Anthropic) for analysis purposes only and are not retained by these services.
Third-Party Services:
- AI Services (OpenAI/Anthropic): Process images temporarily for jewelry analysis only; do not store images permanently
- RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions; no image or face data is shared
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous app usage statistics; no images or face data is shared
7. Data Retention
- Images: Not stored on our servers; temporarily processed by AI services and immediately deleted
- Scan Results: Stored locally on your device only; you can delete this data at any time through the app
- Face Data: Not applicable - no face data is collected or retained
8. Data Protection
- Local storage only for scan history (no cloud storage)
- Encrypted transmission when sending images to AI services for analysis
- No third-party data sharing beyond temporary AI processing
- No face data collection or processing
- Regular security updates to ensure app safety
9. User Rights & Control
- You can revoke camera and photo library access at any time through iOS Settings
- You can delete your local scan history through the app's settings
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store
10. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years old. If any data is inadvertently collected, we will promptly delete it. Our app does not collect face data or biometric information from users of any age.
