Q: What is Avatarly?
A: Avatarly transforms your photos into amazing avatars using different artistic styles like Dreamy, Anime, Bricks, Pixels, and more! Simply upload a photo, choose a style, and let the AI work its magic.
Q: How does it work?
A: Select a photo from your library (photos with a clear view of a face work best!). Choose one of the available styles. Tap "Transform," and our AI will process your image and generate your unique avatar based on the selected style.
Q: What styles are available?
A: We offer a variety of fun styles! Currently, you can choose from Dreamy, Anime, Bricks, Outline, Sketch, Cartoon, Pixels, and Painting. We're always working on adding more!
Q: Are all styles free?
A: The "Dreamy" style is available for all users. All other styles require an Avatarly Premium subscription.
Q: How do I unlock Premium styles?
A: You can unlock all premium styles and get unlimited transformations by upgrading to Avatarly Premium. Tap the "Unlock Premium Styles" button on the main screen or the "Upgrade" button if you hit the daily free limit.
Q: What kind of photos work best?
A: For the best results, use clear, well-lit photos where the face is easily visible and preferably facing forward or slightly angled. Higher resolution photos tend to produce better outcomes.
Q: Does the app detect faces?
A: Yes, before transforming, the app checks if a face is clearly detectable in your selected photo to ensure the best possible avatar generation.
Q: What happens if no face is detected in my photo?
A: If the app can't clearly detect a face, it will prompt you to choose a different photo. This helps the AI focus on the right features for transformation.
Q: What are the benefits of Avatarly Premium?
A: Avatarly Premium gives you unlimited access to all current and future avatar styles and unlimited transformations (no daily limits!).
Q: How do I upgrade to Premium?
A: Tap the "Unlock Premium Styles" button or the "Upgrade" button on the daily limit message. Follow the prompts to subscribe via the App Store.
Q: How do I manage my Premium subscription?
A: Your Avatarly Premium subscription is managed through your Apple App Store account. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings app under "Apple ID" > "Subscriptions".
Q: What is the daily limit for free users?
A: To allow everyone to try Avatarly, free users have a limited number of transformations they can perform each day. You'll see an alert when you reach this limit. Upgrade to Premium to remove this daily restriction.
Q: Why did I get a "Server Busy" error?
A: This message means our servers are temporarily experiencing high traffic. Please wait a few moments and try transforming your photo again.
Q: The transformation is taking a long time. Is that normal?
A: AI processing can take a short while depending on server load and image complexity. If it seems stuck, check your internet connection and try again.
Q: What happens to my photos? Are they stored?
A: Your privacy is important to us. Your original photo is sent securely to our servers solely for the purpose of generating your avatar. It is not stored long-term after the transformation is complete. The generated avatar is sent back to your device. We only keep anonymous usage data (like device ID and style used) for service improvement and analytics.
